With limited resources for clinical trials, researchers would probably not look at how two treatments in the same class worked one after another. They'd more likely see how they did in combination with other types of treatments. But that's just my guess. As of now, there's no data that I can find about Duvelisib following Idelalisib.
Lymphomaniachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17519575154615844854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-781671514856579833.post-77542192184624223512016-08-22T11:10:16.453-04:002016-08-22T11:10:16.453-04:00What does the literature say about the effectivene...What does the literature say about the effectiveness of Duvelisib if you progress after responding to Idelalisib for a year?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03199433584403778258noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-781671514856579833.post-62233606567597896192016-08-21T14:34:11.026-04:002016-08-21T14:34:11.026-04:00No, Revlimid is not an Inhibitor. I don't know if that's "official," but it certainly isn't the kind of scatter-shot traditional chemotherapy that kills healthy cells as well as cancer cells. Much more targeted.
Most of the current treatments for FL are given by IV; it's only the newer ones that are given orally.
I understand the dislike of needles, though when it comes to treatment, you're kind of cutting off a lot of options by trying to avoid the IV. (That said, you would still have some options.)
BobLymphomaniachttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17519575154615844854noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-781671514856579833.post-33209039218904013692016-08-21T12:09:39.544-04:002016-08-21T12:09:39.544-04:00Is Revlimid a Kinease Inhibitor? (assuming that Rituximab will be taken with it as an IV).Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
